Chanchan helps you go through your iPhone photo library one photo at a time and decide what to delete, what to keep, and what to put in an album. The name comes from the Korean word chanchanhi: carefully, without hurrying.

What it does

Decide as you swipe
Keep it, mark it for deletion, add it to an album, or save it for later. Undo as many steps as you need, and pick up right where you left off, even after closing the app.

Swiping only marks photos
Photos you swipe away go to Trash inside the app. Nothing is deleted until you review Trash and tap Delete yourself, and deleted photos stay in Recently Deleted in the Photos app for 30 days.

Sort a little at a time
Work through your library by month, 20 random photos, on this day in past years, the last 7 days, by type such as screenshots, videos, or selfies, by album, or photos that aren't in any album.

Similar photos Pro
Bursts of near-identical shots are gathered into one card with the best one already picked. You can also sort blurry photos, large videos, trips and events, and topics like food or documents. All analysis happens on your device.

Cleanup tools Pro
Compress videos, turn Live Photos into still photos, or export originals to files before clearing them out. Compressed and converted files keep the original date, location, favorite, and albums. Originals go to Trash and stay until you delete them.

Keep or mark today's photo straight from a Home Screen widget. Start a session from Control Center or the Shortcuts app.
Your photos stay on your device
- No account, no sign-in, and no developer servers.
- Analysis, like finding similar or blurry photos, runs entirely on your device.
- No ads, analytics, or tracking.
- To name a trip after a place, the app sends location coordinates (never photos) to Apple's map service.
Free to start
For free, you can sort a set number of photos each day. “Later” doesn't count toward it, and reviewing and deleting from Trash is always available.
For unlimited sorting and Pro features, choose an annual subscription with a free trial or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown on the App Store purchase screen. No ads and no waiting timers.
